The well-being of soldiers is a multifaceted and vital aspect of military. It encompasses various dimensions, including physical, mental, emotional and social well-being. Prioritizing the health and morale of military personnel contributes not only to their individual success but also to the overall effectiveness of the military force.
In coincide with the Katina Puja Ceremony of Sri Shari Puttarama Viharaya, total number of 18 folding beds (Approximately worth around Rs 2,160.000) were donated to Regimental Centre , Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 29 October 2023 for the wellbeing of Officers and ORs of SLCMP by Venerable Nanda Thero, the chief incumbent of the Sri Shari Puttarama Temple, Narahenpita.
With the aim of providing the best equipment facilities to under command battalions, RHQ -SLCMP organized a programme to hand over the folding beds to the unit representatives and the event was graced by the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General ACA De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc on 29 November 2023.
This significant stride was taken towards ensuring the well-being of dedicated Officers and Other Ranks who perform island wide provost duties. The portable beds, which is having good durability, are not just ordinary sleeping solutions, those have been designed with the specific options that soldiers can easily transport and set up in various environments when engaging special operational and the non-operational tasks.
Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police participated to the programme.
