The Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army , Brigadier R D Sallay ndc visited the 7th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police - Diyathalawa on 25 June 2024. This was his maiden visit to the Unit after assuming duties as the Provost Marshal. Upon the arrival, the Senior Officer was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Major L G L B Gunarathne USP psc Lsc where the Senior Officer was accorded with the drive pass. The subsequence program was line up with the planting of a sapling, briefing by the Commanding Officer, all ranks tea and the troops address. During the troops address, the Provost Marshal briefed on key strategic initiatives, operational matters, fostering an exchange of insights and perspectives essential for the continued success of the military career. Further, the Provost Marshal expressed his desired expectation in coming years as a dedicated provost establishment in the Security Forces Headquarters (Central) Area of Responsibility. Before concluding the day’s itinerary, the Provost Marshal placed a record of thoughts and compliments on the Visitors Book. The Senior Officers, Officer Commanding’s of affiliated Provost Companies, Officers and Other Ranks of the 7 th Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police were present at the occasion.
