Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police organized a series of religious activities in parallel to Poson full-moon poya day, under the guidance of the Colonel Commandant and the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army Major General ACA De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc and President of Seva Vanitha Branch Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Mrs. Priyanthika De Zoysa. These ritual Buddhist activities were prominent at the Buddhist place of the worship, which was at the Regimental Centre and all Units, under the supervision of the Centre Commandant, Commandant of School of Military Police and all the Commanding Officers with the collaboration of under command troops, school students and native villagers.
Many religious activities were organized during this Poson poya day by the Corps of Military Police in Island wide, such as Sil campaigns, Bodhi Poojas, Dansalas (Freely giving foods), Poson devotional songs and Poson lanterns. These ritual Buddhist activities were organized for the spiritual development and enlightenment of Buddhism during the Poson poya day.
