NEWLY APPOINTED PROVOST MARSHAL OF THE SRI LANKA ARMY ASSUMED DUTIES

Amidst the religious observances and military formalities, Brigadier R D Sallay ndc, the newly appointed Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, assumed duties as the 15^th Provost Marshal on 3 May 2024 (Friday) at the Directorate of Provost, Army Headquarters.

The Centre Commandant of the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police and the Colonel Provost of the Directorate of Provost warmly welcomed the incoming senior Officer at the entrance of the Army Headquarters.

The Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army placed his signature symbolically on an official document amidst the chanting Seth Pirith by the Venerable Maha Sangha. Afterwards, the day's sequence of events commenced with the lighting the traditional Oil Lamp, Group Photographs, and All Ranks tea.

The proceedings were concluded with the newly appointed Provost Marshal addressing the Commanding Officers by expressing his vision and expectations for the coming years. The Centre Commandant of the Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Council Members, Commanding Officers, Staff Officers, and permanent staff of the Directorate of Provost participated in the event.
