THE NEWLY APPOINTED COLONEL COMMANDANT OF SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE ASSUMED DUTIES

In a charming ceremony, the present Director General General Staff (DGGS) of Sri Lanka Army, Major General S A N D Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc, assumed duties as the 12^th Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 20^th May 2024 (Monday) at the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.

The senior Officer was warmly welcomed by the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army Brigadier R D Sallay ndc and the Centre Commandant of the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police at the entrance of the Headquarters. Amidst the chanting Seth Pirith at the auspicious time, the Senior Officer assumed office with the placement of his signature symbolically on an official document.

Thereafter, the Colonel Commandant addressed to the Officers and Other Ranks while expressing the heartfelt gratitude to the Commander of the Army, all Principal Staff Officers of Sri Lanka Army, Council Members, Officers and Other ranks of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police. Further, the Senior Officer emphasized the value of maintaining discipline and expressed the vision and the desired expectation in the coming year.

The Commanding Officer Special Investigation Unit, the Colonel Provost - Directorate of Provost, Commanding Officers, Staff Officers and the permanent staff of the Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police participated to the event.
