Mrs. Iroshi Fernando officially assumed duties as the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police on 19 July 2025, at the Regimental Headquarters.
The event commenced with religious observances, invoking blessings for a successful and fulfilling tenure. Amid a respectful and dignified atmosphere, Mrs. Iroshi Fernando marked the beginning of her new role by placing her signature on the official documents.
Lending further significance to the occasion, the Colonel Commandant of the SLCMP, Major General B G S Fernando USP Hdmc psc, addressed the gathering. In his remarks, he underscored the importance of welfare initiatives in enhancing the quality of life for military personnel and their families, and highlighting the importance of consistent care and support for service personnel.
