With concurrence to the International Women's Day. The monthly programme was conducted at Regimental Centre Sri Lanka Corps of Military - Police Polhengoda. The conceptual direction was given by the Commander FMA (MLT), Colonel Commandant of SLCMP Maj Gen AL Illangakoon and President of Sewa Wanitha Branch Mrs Inoka Illangakoon. The event was organized by the 5 Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.
The programme commenced with the women empower lecture conducted by Dr. Kalpana Abeypitiya and alms giving to the 10 numbers of nuns at Sangamiththa monastery Madiwela. There were more than 50 participants for the event including members of the Sewa Wanitha branch. Lady Officers and WMPs.
