The 76 th National Independence Day parade is scheduled to be held on 04 February 2024 at Galle Face Green. Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police is inherently responsible for provision of the ceremonial duties to this National Event. Among them Ceremonial Motor Cade is a vital element that accorded to the HE the President of Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Therefore, inspections of the ceremonial vehicle fleet was held on 26 January 2024 at RHQ SLCMP premises by the Provost Marshal of SL Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc to ensure the operational fitness, the mechanical efficiency and the outfit of the ceremonial vehicle fleet.
The Director Electrical and Mechanical Engineers of Sri Lanka Army, Brigadier S A N J Ariyasena, The Commandant of EME Base Workshop - Katubedda Colonel R C Jayatunga inspected the automotive fitness. The Centre Commandant – SLCMP, Colonel Provost of the Dte of Pro, Senior Officers and Officers were present at the occasion.
