HELD AS THE FIRST NATIONAL INDOOR ROWING REGETA ON 26, 27 AND 28TH FEBRUARY 2015 AT KOTHALAWALA DEFENCE UNIVERSITY
The National Indoor Rowing Regeta was held as the first National Indoor Rowing Regeta on 26, 27 and 28th February 2015 at Kothalawala Defence University with more than 350 numbers of male and female competitors. There were 18 teams representing the Army, Navy, Air Force, University Clubs and Schools etc.
Sri Lanka Army Rowing team won the championship in marks and runners up by the female team. There were 8, age categories and 3 events per each age category with light weight endurance and open event.
For this victory 13 number of male, female were participated and won 14 Gold Medals, 4 Silver Medals and 07 Bronze Medals, further S/679340 L/Cpl Bandara kept the Military Police flag up by selecting to next Asian Rowing Regeta from gaining the second best timing ever in Sri Lanka (6 minutes 42 Seconds and 2 mili second) in 2000m open category.
