FRIED RICE DANSALA ORGANIZED BY CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE TO MARK VESAK FESTIVAL

In celebration of the Vesak Full Moon Poya Day, the Corps of Military Police organized a ”Fried Rice Dansala” in collaboration with Seva Vanitha Branch of SLCMP, reflecting the noble teachings of Lord Buddha on generosity (Dana), compassion and selfless service to humanity.

A large number of peoples joined with Dansala and they served with fried rice in a warm and cordial atmosphere. The programme provided an opportunity for participants to practice the Buddhist virtue of giving while fostering harmony and goodwill among the community.

The event was graced by the Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Military Police, Maj Gen B G S Fernando USP Hdmc psc and the President of the Seva Vanitha Branch SLCMP Mrs. Iroshini Fernando as the chief guests.

Senior Officers, Officers, Other Ranks, members of the Seva Vanitha Branch and family members of SLCMP also were present on the occasion and actively contributed to the successful conduct of the Dansala.

The programme symbolized the spirit of Vesak and the timeless Buddhist values of sharing, kindness and compassion towards all beings.
