THE FOURTH QUARTER - OFFICERS' TRAINING DAY OF SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE WAS HELD AT RHQ SLCMP

Training is a vital aspect for Military Officers to uplift their knowledge and professionalism. Hence, all Officers of SL Army shall develop the character, leadership, intellectual competence and other military attributes for the progressive and continuous development of career.

In align with the training philosophy of the Directorate of Training, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police conducted the Officers' training Programme in par with the high standard to produce professionally competent, physically strong, mental robust and morally upright Officers who will undertake future challenges.

The Regimental Centre, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police conducted its fourth quarter Officers' training day under the direction of the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, which was organized by 7th Regiment, Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police at Regimental Headquarters on 29 November 2023 and a group of 80 Officers representing all units of SLCMP participated to the training day programme.

The training session began with morning physical training and the rest of the programme included a Drill session for junior Officers, an Individual presentation and the Group presentation. Afterwards, the Provost Marshal of SL Army and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police expressed his visionary ideas, guidance, values of Officering as a Provost in contemporary situation and military wellbeing during the Officers address. Moreover, the Senior Officer highlighted the importance of discipline at all levels, maintenance of proper coordination of communication and continuation of excellent dedicated service.

In the evening, Officers attended to the recreation, which helps to refresh and reinvigorate both body and mind. Later, the “Diners’ Club” was held at the Regimental Officers’ Mess where the Officers enlightened on the subject of maintaining duty relations with the prison department and Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police by Superintendent of Prison Department, Jagath Chandana Weerasinghe - Magazine Prison, Colombo .

The Provost Marshal of SL Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Other Council members, Senior Officers and officers participated to the fourth quarter Officers’ training programme.
