The foundation stone-laying ceremony for the proposed two-story Charge Room of the Regimental Headquarters of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police took place on 19 May 2025. The 50 x 28 feet, proposed two-story building funded by the Sri Lanka Army is expected to be completed within few months. The construction will be undertaken by the Army Engineers, under the direct supervision of the Directorate of Engineer Services. The event was graced by the Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General ULJS Perera RSP USP nps psc. The Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army, Brigadier RD Sallay ndc, Director Directorate of Engineer Services of the Sri Lanka Army, Brigadier YKS Rangika psc ptsc, the Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Brigadier MMMP Mahesh Kumara, senior officers, officers and other ranks of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police were present at the location.
