The Provost Marshal of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc made an official visit to School of Military Police, Girithale on 24 December 2023.
Upon his arrival, the Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commandant of School of Military Police, Colonel D D D Seresainghe USP along with the all Officers of School of Military Police . In honour of the official visit as the operational and the administrative Commander of the SLCMP, the Senior Officer was accorded a traditional guard turnout at the doorstep of the training establishment.
Days proceedings were commenced with unveiling of the newly constructed Warrant Officers’ and Sergeants’ Mess accommodation by the chief guest, the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc. This newly constructed accomodation is comprised with modern features and several other facilities which fulfills a longstanding requirement of the Senior Non Commissioned Officers of SMP.
Afterwards, Troops address was significant among the scheduled programme which the Provost Marshal and the Colonel Commandant expressed his visionary ideas, guidance, values of soldering as a provost in contemporary situation. Moreover, he highlighted the importance of discipline at all levels, the importance of having military training, personal discipline, the way of enhancing professional knowledge of Provost Officers and Other Ranks and the continuation of excellent dedicated service.
The Commandant of School of Military Police, Senior Officers, Officers and Permanent Staff of SMP, Students of ongoing promotion course participated to the event.
