THE CENTRE COMMANDANT OF THE SRI LANKA CORPS OF MILITARY POLICE REGIMENT ASSUMED DUTIES

Colonel H Walgama USP assumed the duties as the 10th Centre Commandant of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police Regiment on 7 May 2014, and a ceremony was held at the Regimental Centre SLCMP - Polhengoda. A Guard Turnout accorded to the incoming Centre Commandant on his arrival at the Parade Ground of Regimental Centre - Polhengoda. Members of the Maha Sangha invoked blessings to the Centre Commandant on the occasion of assuming the new appointment. Having signed the first official document which signified the taking over of office as the Centre Comdt, Col H Walgama planted a tree sapling in the Regimental premises which would mark unforgettable memories in the annals of the Regimental history. Soon after the tree planting, there was a tea party at the WOs\' and Sgts\' Mess. Afterwards, Colonel H Walgama USP addressed the gathering in which the Officers and other ranks were present from the Regiment of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police.
