Staff Sergeant Dassanayake DKP of the 4thSri Lanka Corps of Military Police (SLCMP) was among 105 soldiers who received financial assistance to complete their partially constructed houses during a ceremony held on 23 July 2024, at Army Headquarters. Lieutenant General Vikum Liyanage RWP RSP ndu, Commander of the Army, officiated as the Chief Guest at this significant event.
This initiative forms part of the 9thphase of the Army Commander’s Ranaviru Housing Fund, administered by the Directorate of Veterans Affairs and Rehabilitation. The fund provides monetary incentives to soldiers for the construction and completion of their homes. During this phase, allocations were made for the construction of 15 new houses and the completion of 105 partially-built houses.
The ceremony underscored the military's steadfast commitment to supporting its personnel through housing initiatives, thereby ensuring their welfare and operational readiness. Furthermore, four officers from the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police were selected to receive the necessary financial support under this scheme.
