ANOTHER GOLD MEDALIST IMMERGED FROM PROVOST REGIMENT

Sports are inherent for the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police since its inception. Accordingly, the regiment has produced with skilled sportsmen who brought the historical achievements in national and international sport arena. Among many champions, a new Provost Gold Medalist emerged during the 102 nd National Athletic Championship which was held at the Diyagama form 25 June to 27 June 2024.

While representing the Provost Athletic Team, S/680152 Corporal Herath H U N B - 1 SLCMP competed the 3000 meters Steeplechase event on Tuesday, 25 June 2024. Displaying outstanding performance, he secured the first position by clocking of 17.35 seconds and awarded with a Gold Medal thus bringing the glory to the Regiment and the Sri Lanka Army.

The Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General S A N D Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc, the Provost Marshal of Sri Lanka Army, Brigadier R D Sallay ndc, the Centre Commandant together with all members of the Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police offered best wishes to the champion who kept the Military Police and Sri Lanka Army flag flying high at the Diyagama Stadium.
