4 SLCMP MEETS A VETERAN PROVOST MEMBER

A retired soldier, weathered by years of service, bears the indelible marks of duty on both body and soul. The crisp discipline of military life echoes in the way they carry themselves, a silent testament to battles fought. Despite the weight of their experiences, a quiet resilience defines them. The retired soldier, now a guardian of memories, navigates the terrain of peace with the same courage that defined their service. Recognizing and appreciating their value is essential in acknowledging the lasting impact they have made and continue to make on their communities and the nation as a whole.

In align with that concept, a team of 4 SLCMP has made a courtesies home visit on 16 Nov 2023 to the S/90111 S/Sgt Natraja ST - SLCMP who is spending sunset of his life at Karaweddi, Point Pedro.

S/Sgt Natraja ST - SLCMP is one of the pioneer valiant soldiers who was born to a Tamil heritage family on 19 an 1934. He has joined the army on 7 Aug1958 and rendered his immaculate service to the nation until 06 Aug1980. Being as a proud member of the provost family, he exhibited high standers of discipline and strong work ethic instilled during his active service to the nations thus proving him self as a valuable asset to the Sri Lanka Army. He has fostered strong sense of camaraderie and teamwork despite his nationality.

Hence, to give him an immeasurable significance and extends far beyond support, this visit was carried out under the patronage of the Commanding Officer of 4 SLCMP, Major H L S K Jayatissa Lsc. Further, the Provost Marshal of SL Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc with his clear visionary idea has given the direction to inspire this exceptional programme.
