4 SLCMP FOOTBALL PLAYERS CARRY AWAY INTER REGIMENT FOOTBALL CHAMPIONSHIP - 2023

Under the direction of the Provost Marshal of SL Army and the Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police, Major General A C A De Zoysa USP Hdmc Lsc, the 3rd Sri Lanka Corps of Military police conducted the Inter Battalion Football tournament on the 30th & 31st of October 2023 at Galkulama.

All battalions from the Military Police competed in the event, which was meant to handpick skilled players for the regimental football pool. The teams from the 4th Regiment and the 5th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police who performed the highest standard in the event were qualified for the finals by the knock-out system.

The Commanding Officer 3 SLCMP, Major MDSUK Weerasinghe USP psc greeted the finalists prior to commencement of the final match during the introduction of team players. Finally, The 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police team won the champion trophy by over coming the rival team by scoring three goals.
