COMMANDING OFFICER

Regiment of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police presently performs duties with Six Battalions, SIU and Training School. First Regiment of SLCMP covered the duties of SFHQ - West and Central AORs. With the direction of the Commander of the Army, a fresh battalion was approved for the SFHQ (Central) AOR. With that decision of AHQ, the 7th Regiment of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police was established at Diyathalawa on 12th November 2015. Lt Col J S Munasinghe assumed duties as the first Commanding Officer of the unit with 04 X Officers and 125 X ORs.
