Sri Lanka Army General Service Corps Kabaddi team emerged Champions at the Inter Regiment Circle Kabaddi Championship - 2018 conducted by the Army Kabaddi Sports Committee defeating Sri Lanka Army Corps of Military Police Kabaddi team. The tournament was held at the Philip Gunawardena ground at Avissawella from 26 to 27 December 2018 with the participation of seven (07) Regimental team.

The "Clerk Course - No 58" was conducted for Other Ranks of all Arms of the Sri Lanka Army Regular & Volunteer units from 20 September to 21 December 2018 at the SLAGSC Trade School at Kuttigala. This course is designed to produce much needed Clerks to the Regular & Volunteer Force units of the Sri Lanka Army. The course was conducted through a well designed syllabus covering a period of 11 weeks and it included Office Procedure, Pay and Records Procedure, Army Organization, Army Orders, Army Act and Civil Administration duties etc... . After successful completion of the course the participants are employed for office duties in their own Regiments.

SLAGSC Inter Unit Elle Tournament was held on 15th and 16 th December 2018 at 1 SLAGSC ground at Panaluwa with the participation of 06 x teams under the supervision of Regimental Sports Committee. Opening Ceremony was held on 15th December 2018 at Army Camp, Panaluwa ground with Brig Chanaka Weragoda USP Centre Commandant as the Chief Guest.

The Unit Accounts and Admin Officers Course No 75 was conducted for Middle Grade officers of Sri Lanka Army Regular / Volunteer units for 32 working days from 25 October 2018 to 09 November 2018 at RHQ SLAGSC auditorium, Panagoda under the supervision of SLAGSC Trade School. This course is designed to train officers in Public and Non Public Funds related Accounting Procedures, Auditing and Army Admin Procedures. A total of number of 35 x officers from all arms successfully completed the course.

All SLAGSC Regular and Volunteer units including Regimental HQ purchased much needed motor cycles for admin duties utilizing unit funds under the direction of Major General W R Palihakkara USP, Colonel Commandant, SLAGSC. Total of seven Honda Shine - 125 cc Motor Cycles were purchased from Stafford Motor Company (Pvt) Ltd. The new Motor cycles were distributed under the patronage of Brigadier Chanaka Weragoda USP, Centre Commandant SLAGSC at the 3 SLAGSC (P&R) premises on 31 October 2018 during a brief ceremony.

The "Regimental Accounts Instructor Course - No 03" was conducted for Senior NCOs of all Arms of the Sri Lanka Army Regular & Volunteer units from 10 May 2018 to 07 August 2018 (12 Weeks) at SLAGSC Trade School, Kuttigala (Emblipitiya). This course is designed to produce much needed Accounts and Audit instructors to the Regular & Volunteer units of the Sri Lanka Army. After the successful completion of the course the participants will be employed to train, supervise and audit the Public & Non Public Fund accounts maintained in their own Regiments.

The "Clerk Course No 57" was conducted for Other Ranks of all Arms of the Sri Lanka Army Regular & Volunteer Force from 07 May 2018 to 07 August 2018 (12 Weeks) at SLAGSC Trade School, Kuttigala (Emblipitiya) to improve the clerical skills which will invariably enable them to discharge their duties as Administrative Assistants with a professional approach in their respective work places.
