A financial aid programme conducted by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) took place on 25 November 2025 at Army Headquarters. Lieutenant General Lasantha Rodrigo RSP ctf-ndu psc IG, Commander of the Army, attended the event as the Chief Guest, together with Mrs Swendrini Dissanayake, President of the ASVU.

A scholarship awarding ceremony organised by the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) was held on 18 December 2025 at the Army Headquarters to provide financial assistance to the children of deceased, disabled, retired and serving Army personnel, as well as civilian employees of the Army.

An essential items donation programme was successfully conducted on 13 and 14 December 2025 to support communities affected by the Ditwa Cyclone in Badulla and Kandy areas. The programme was carried out under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Swendrini Dissanayake, the President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU).

UTS College - Sri Lanka Extends Support to Cyclone Affected Families

The UTS College - Sri Lanka donated essential items, including mattresses, pillows, pillowcases and other necessities, to the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU) to support families affected by the Ditwah Cyclone, with the aim of providing much needed relief to those impacted by adverse weather condition.
