The 6 India – Sri Lanka army to army staff talks and under the programme both countries United Nation peace keeping training institute conducted instructors exchange programme. As scheduled 02 x officers from IPSOTSL visited to Centre for United Nation Peace Keeping in New Delhi, India (CUNPK). The visit commenced from 06 to 11 November 2017 and Lt Col WAJ Hemachandra RSP psc Chief Instructor - IPSOTSL and Maj MG Wijesena Instructor / SO ll - IPSOTSL participated.

The Centre for United Nations Peacekeeping (CUNPK), has been set up in New Delhi, drawing on India's vast experience in the field of UN Peacekeeping. The Centre conducts International Training Capsules for Military Contingent Officers, Military Observers, and Staff and Logistics Officers. The Centre regularly organizes Seminars, Joint Working Groups and Command Post Exercises at the National and International level. CUNPK is also a repository of information on India’s involvement in UN Peacekeeping and is continuing to build and update its research on peacekeeping related issues. Since October 2005, CUNPK has taken the responsibility for the Secretariat of the International Association of Peacekeeping Training Centres (IAPTC).

Further these 02 x officers were able to attend and witness United Nation Military Observer Course 17 (UNMOC) and also sharing the knowledge and experience of their respective institutes about the syllabuses and infrastructures. Additionally Lt Col WAJ Hemachandra RSP psc Chief instructor – IPSOTSL conducted lecture to students of UNMOC 17 in CUNPK underthe tropic “Work as One in the Mission.” As overall this instructors exchange programme has benefited to both countries to sharing their instructors knowledge, understand the conduct of courses and syllabuses and utilized those experience to unlit the standard of their respective institutes
