The United Nations Staff Officers’ Course No 06 (UNSOC) was successfully conducted by the IPSOTSL which was sponsored by the Global Peace Support Initiative (GPOI). The commandant, Brigadier PI Pathiratne was conducted the opening address. The course was commenced from 28 May to 13 June 2018 with the participation of 29 student officers including 23 local officers and 06 foreign officers. Local officers were comprised with 17 from Army, 5 from Navy and 7 from Air Force. The foreign student officers were comprised with 02 from Cambodia, 01 from Indonesia, 01 from Mongolia and 02 from Nepal. The two GPOI instructors from Sweden and Philippine together with local officers Instructors from Sri Lanka Army were conducted lectures and shared their knowledge and experience during the course in various subjects related to the duties of United Nations staff officers in United Nations Peacekeeping Missions. Closing ceremony was grace by the commandant of IPSOTSL Brigadier PI Pathiratne.
