The International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights Advance course which was conducted under the direction of Directorate of IHL and HR from 10 October 2018 to 30 October 2018 and terminated successfully. The course consisted with 11 officers including one officer from Sri Lankan Air Force and One officer from Sri Lanka Navy and 19 other ranks representing tri services Police and Special Task force.

The objective of the course was to enhance basic knowledge of the officers in tri services and STF regarding Humanitarian Law and Human Rights violation and its implication. The opening address was conducted as customary by the Commandant of the IPSOTSL Brigadier PI Pathirathne and closing address was conducted by the Director of Directorate of IHL and HR Brigadier GSM Fonseka MBA MIAE MIM(SL).
