Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit Contingent Pre-deployment Training Course No 10 (United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in the Central African Republic - MINUSCA) was successfully concluded on 28 June 2024 at Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL).

The course was commenced on 06 June 2024 with the participation of 22 Officers and 116 Other Ranks of Sri Lanka Air Force. The course conducted to uplift the basic knowledge on practical and theoretical aspects of United Nations and special tasks which are assigned to them according to the mandate. The course curriculum consisted with many important aspects such as introduction to UN peacekeeping, Situational Trainings, International Humanitarian Law (IHL) & Human Rights (HR), Field Training Exercise (FTX) and etc.

The Commanding Officer of Peace Operations Training Centre – Australia, Lieutenant Colonel Michael Webbe and Australian Defence Advisor to Sri Lanka and Maldives, Colonel Amanda Johnston, CSC and Bar, ndc, also visited FTX to witness the training session during their official visit to IPSOTSL on 26 June 2024.

Brigadier S A Hettige RSP psc, the Commandant of IPSOTSL, graced the occasion as the chief guest and delivered the closing remarks after awarding certificates to the participants. Senior Officers, Officers and Instructors of IPSOTSL also participated during the event.
