United Nations Civil Military Coordination Officers’ Course (UNCIMIC) Number - 05 conducted from 8 to 19 July 2024 at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL)

The closing ceremony of the course was held on 19 July 2024. 25 Student Officers from the Sri Lanka Army and 02 Student Officers from the Sri Lanka Navy, along with 06 foreign Student Officers from Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mongolia, and Vietnam participated in the course. The Panel of Lecturers consisted with 04 Subject Matter Experts (SMEs); Mr. Alex Lee from Singapore. Mr. Jens Normen Hahne from Germany, Mr. Victor Manuel Nunez from Argentina, and Brig Gen (Retd) Naresh Subba from Nepal.

Major General S M N D Edirisinghe RWP RSP Hdmc psc, the Director General General Staff and Colonel Commandant of Sri Lanka Corps of Military Police graced the occasion as the chief guest upon the invitation of the Commandant of IPSOTSL.

Subsequently, he joined for a group photograph with the Commandant, SMEs and Student Officers of the UNCIMIC along with the staff of IPSOTSL. Later, he visited the camp premises in order to witness the training infrastructure facilities of IPSOTSL and provided important guidance to uplift the standards of infrastructure facilities of the institute. Additionally, The Senior Officers, Officers, and Other Ranks of IPSOTSL participated in the closing ceremony.
