United Nations Civil Military Coordination Officers’ Course (UNCIMIC) No - 05 sponsored by the Global Peace Operations Initiative (GPOI) commenced at the Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) on 08 July 2024. Brigadier S A Hettige RSP psc, the Commandant of IPSOTSL delivered the opening remarks marking the inauguration of the course.

Mr. Lee Seck Weng from Singapore facilitates the course as the Team Leader of Subject Matter Experts of GPOI Organization whilst Brig (Retd) Naresh Subba from Nepal, Mr. Jens Normen Hahne from Germany and Mr. Victor Manuel Nunez from Argentina facilitate as the other Subject Matter Experts.

The course consists of 25 Students Officers from the Sri Lanka Army, 02 Students Officers from the Sri Lanka Navy, and 06 foreign students from friendly foreign nations; Bangladesh, Indonesia, Mongolia and Vietnam.

The course will terminate on 19 July 2024.
