Brigadier S A Hettige RSP psc assumed duties as the fifteenth Commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) during a brief ceremony held at the IPSOTSL on Friday 10 May 2024.

On arrival, the Commandant was welcomed by the Chief Instructor IPSOTSL and accorded a Guard Turnout at the camp entrance. Afterwards, he placed his signature in an official document signifying the taking over of his duties at his office amidst religious observances.

Subsequently, a Mango sapling was planted in the compound to mark the assumption of duties. Finally, the Officers and Other Ranks of the IPSOTSL were addressed by the new Commandant.
