  COMBAT CONVOY COMPANY PRE-DEPLOYMENT COURSE NO 05 – MINUSMA
 

Combat Convoy Company Pre-deployment Course NO - 05 for MINUSMA (United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali) was commenced on 31 October 2022 and concluded on 25 November 2022. The course consisted with 377 students (44 Officers and 333 Other Ranks) representing various corps and regiments.


The course syllabus has designed according to the guidelines issued by the UNDPKO with the intention of providing a sound knowledge on practical and theoretical aspects of United Nations and provision of force protection to humanitarian assistance.


The main objective of IPSOTSL is to offer a brief awareness about the relevant host country and specially the duties and responsibilities which will belong to them according to the mandate. Provision of combat convoy protection when transporting fuel, food, medicine and water to frontline of the mission is mandatory. The peacekeepers should focus on duties, such as ensuring security, stabilization and protection of civilians, the rebuilding of the security sector, and the promotion and protection of human rights in the country. The overall course curriculum has been designed to make and shape the participants to face the challengers with better confidence during the UN employment.
