The International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights advance course was commenced on 08 November 2022 at IPSOTSL under the direction and guidance of Directorate of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law. The course consisted of 26 officers including 22 Officers from the Sri Lanka Army, two officers from the Sri Lanka Navy, one officer from the Sri Lanka Air Force, one Inspector from Special Task Force of Sri Lanka Police and 33 Other Ranks from tri services and the Police. The objective of the course was to enhance the knowledge of junior level officers and NCOs regarding Human Rights and, its implications and basic knowledge International Humanitarian Law. The opening address was conducted by Brigadier T K C Peiris RWP RSP, the Director of Directorate of Human Rights and International Humanitarian Law.
