Combat Convoy Company Pre-deployment Course Level B-I for MINUSMA (United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Mali) was commenced on 15 August 2022. The course consisted with 307 students (33 x Officers and 274 x ORs) representing various regiments.

The course has designed to provide a basic knowledge on practical and theoretical aspects of United Nations and provision of force protection to humanitarian assistance. The main objective of this mini training capsule is to offer a brief awareness about the relevant host country and specially the duties and responsibilities which will belongs to them according to the mandate. The peacekeepers should focus on duties, such as ensuring security, stabilization and protection of civilians, the rebuilding of the security sector, and the promotion and protection of human rights in the country.

The opening remark was delivered by Brigadier C A Rajapaksha RSP, the Commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka.
