Sri Lanka Air Force Contingent Pre-deployment Training Course (MINUSCA) No -08 was commenced on 20 June 2022 and successfully completed on 18 July 2022. Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit Pre-Deployment Training Course Central Africa No - 08 was consisted with 169 students (20 x Officer and 149 x ORs).

The Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) has deployed an Aviation Unit in Central Africa and it is tasked to carry out VIP transportation, transportation of food and equipment, domestic flying, para dropping and medical evacuation in the Central African Republic, in support of the overall UN mandate for that nation. In order to perform the duties and tasks effectively, it is essential to equip the peacekeepers with awareness and experiences on UN medical and aviation background.

The course has designed to provide the required knowledge on practical and theoretical aspects of United Nations. The main objective of this training capsule is to offer a brief awareness about the above said themes collateral with the UN mandate.

The closing remark was delivered by Brigadier CA Rajapaksha RSP, the commandant of IPSOTSL.
