Brigadier KPSA Fernando RWP RSP ndu new commandant of Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka assumed duties on Thursday 17 December 2020 during a simple ceremony at the office of the IPSOTSL.

A bright and customary guard turn-out was extended to the newly appointed commandant as he proceeded. After a simple religious observance he symbolically signed the first formal document and received greetings from other Officers who were presented at the occasion.

Brigadier Sanjeewa Fernando is the 13 Commandant of the IPSOTSL. He marked the assuming of duties by planting a ‘Mee’ sapling in the compound.

All his staff including the Chief Instructor and all Officers congratulated him on the new appointment and wished him good luck.
