The International Humanitarian Law and Human Rights basic course conducted at Institute of Peace Support Operations Training Sri Lanka (IPSOTSL) under the direction and guidance of Directorate of Human Rights and Humanitarian Law (Dte of HR & HL) from 21 September 2020 to 09 October 2020 was completed successfully. The course consisted with 21 officers including two officers from Sri Lanka Navy, two officers from Sri Lanka Air Force and two officers from Special Task Force of Sri Lanka Police and 43 Other Ranks from different services and STF.

The objective of the course was to develop the knowledge of Officers and Other Ranks regarding Humanitarian Law and its implication. Further to provide a clear perception on basic knowledge of Human Rights. The opening address was conducted by the Director of Dte of HR and HL and Closing remarks were delivered by the Chief Instructor Lt Col RA Samaranayake USP psc SLLI of IPSOTSL.
