Sri Lanka Air Force Contingent Pre-Deployment Training Course No - 6 was commenced on 22 September 2020. The course was consisted of 121 students including 12 Officers and 109 ORs.

The course has designed to provide a basic knowledge on practical and theoretical aspects of United Nations. The main objective of this training capsule is to offer a brief awareness about the relevant host country, location, surroundings, climatic condition, culture and specially the duties and responsibilities which belongs to them according to the mandate. Moreover this was also designed where they could perform their tasks proficiently and effectively in liaison with various HQs and contingents in UN missions. Furthermore, the course was commenced under the directions and guidance of Brigadier RADS Shantha Ranaweera RWP RSP USP psc, the Commandant of IPSOTSL and opening remarks was delivered by the Chief Instructor, Lt Col RA Samaranayake USP psc SLLI.
