The Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha Branch, led by Chairperson Mrs. Nimali Ranathunga, organised an Ice Cream Dansala Programme on 26 May 2024. The event, held on the Kadawatha-Ganemulla main road in front of the Regimental Centre, saw active participation from Seva Vanitha members, officers, and commandos of the Regiment.
Under the guidance of Major General PGPS Rathnayaka RWP RSP ndc, General Officer Commanding 53 Infantry Division and Colonel of the Commando Regiment, and the supervision of Brigadier BMSKK Dharmawardena RWP RSP USP, Center Commandant and Commanding Officer of the Regimental Headquarters Battalion, the programme served approximately 3000 people for nearly three hours.
The event drew a significant turnout from the local community, with both officers and troops from the Regimental Centre in Ganemulla enthusiastically participating in the event.
