A Kapruka Pooja was organized by the Commando Regiment on 20 February with the guidance and instructions of Colonel of the Regiment Major General Pradeep De Silva RSP to coincide with the 40 th Regimental anniversary.
The Kapruka Pooja Pinkama was held at Ruwanweliseya to invoke blessings on military personnel and transfer merits to all War Heroes who sacrificed their lives for the motherland.
General Officers Commanding of 57 Division Maj Gen Pradeep De Silva RSP and General Officer Commanding 53 Division Maj Gen Priyantha Senarathne RSP USP psc and the Commander Commando Brigade Shanaka Ratnayake RWP RSP with Centre Commandant Commando Regiment Colonel Shymal Silva RWP RSP and large no of serving officer and other ranks also participate for the event.
Further, more than 650 relatives of war heroes attended for the event.
