The 14th Centre Commandant of the Commando Regimental Headquarters, Colonel BMSKK Dharmawardena RWP RSP USP, upon assuming duties made his official visit to the 4 Commando Regiment at Ganemulla on 26 April 2022.
On behalf of the 4 Commando Regiment, Lt Col KVTS Kakulawala Lsc the Commanding Officer welcomed the newly appointment Centre Commandant on arrival at the camp entrance. The Centre Commandant at the entrance inspected the Guard Turnout, as per the traditional military customs.
Afterwards, CO 4 CR conducted a briefing at the Conference hall to appraise the Centre Commandant about the present status of the Regiment. Thereafter, Colonel BMSKK Dharmawardena RWP RSP USP planted a mango sapling near HQ office complex to mark the official visit. After that, Centre Commandant posed for a group photograph with all Officers and Other Ranks of 4 Commando Regiment. After the Photograph, Centre Commandant was accompanied on a camp visit by the Officers and the RSM.
After the camp visit, Centre Commandant addressed 4 CR troops and enlightened them on the necessity to work for the betterment of the Regiment and stressed upon maintaining military discipline. Subsequently, the Centre Commandant signed the Visitors’ Book. The Commandant’s visit ended with the visit to the L Group located at BIA premises.
