NEWLY CONSTRUCTED / RENEWED FACILITIES FOR COMMANDOS AT COMMANDO REGIMENTAL CENTRE

Major General P G P S Rathnayaka RWP RSP ndc, was invited to the inauguration of newly constructed senior Officer’s accommodation, WO’s and Sgt mess kitchen facility and modern facilitated OR’s holiday Bungalow, by Brigadier B M S K K Dharmawardena RWP RSP USP the Centre Commandant of the Commando Regiment on 09 Aug 2023.

Firstly the Colonel of the Regiment declared open newly facilitated OR’s holiday bungalow which was the much-needed requirement of ORs during 43 years. Thereafter, the recently constructed kitchen and ration store facility for WO’s & Sgt mess were officially opened and followed by a refreshments session.

As thr final event of the day’s programme, the senior Officer’s accommodation was inaugurated by the Colonel of the Regiment with the presence of senior officers and officers of the Commando family. The facility contains 5 X fully furnished rooms size of 600 Square Feet each.

The Brigade Commander Commando Brigade Brigadier V N M Hettiarachchi RWP RSP, Colonel E A D K Suriyakumara USP along with several senior officers, officers and OR of the commando family attended the occasion.
