The Colonel of the Regiment Commando Regiment Major General B P S de Silva RSP assumed office as the 13th General Officer Commanding of the 57 Division under the Security Force Headquarters - Kilinochchi on 02 Monday September 2019

The newly-appointed General Officer Commanding received the Guard Turnout which offered at the entrance to the Divisional Administrative Area upon his arrival and honoured with the Guard of Honour by the 7 Battalion SLLI. Afterwards with the blessing of ‘Pirith Chanting’ Major General B P S de Silva placed his signature in an official document to signify the acceptance of the new office

Then, He addressed the all Officers and Other Ranks in Headquarters 57 Division and Under Command Brigades and Battalions at the Utility Building of 57 Division and exposed his future vision for 57 Division. All Brigade Commanders and the Commanding Officers were attended for the function. Afterward, an all ranks Tea arrangement was there to interact with new General Officer Commanding
