COMMANDOS STEP INTO 2022 WITH OPTIMISM

The Regimental Centre Commando Regiment welcomed 2022 with the traditional “Kiri Ithireema” ritual in the presence of the Centre Commandant, Senior Officers and permanent Staff at dawn of January 1st.

As per the directions of the Army Headquarters, the programme was conducted in high spirits to commence the challenging year on 3rd January 2022.

A Lecture was organized under the topic of “Approaching new year with sense of peace in mind facing developing Volatility, Uncertainty, Complexity and Ambiguity (VUCA) challenges” in the evening of January 4th at the Pool Site of the Commando Regiment. The Colonel of the Regiment, Major General A K G K U Gnanaratne ndc psc also addressed the gathering and motivated Commandos on the physical, mental and spiritual aspects.

17 Officers and 455 Other Ranks from 14 Infantry Division, Commando Regimental Centre, Commando Brigade, 4 Commando Regiment and RHQ Bn attended the event.
