The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha branch was held 19 January 2020 at Regimental Centre Commando Regiment Ganemulla. The AGM was chaired by the Chairperson of the Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Anuja De Silva and large number of members of Seva Vanitha branch were attended for the event.
The event commenced with the singing of the Sri Lanka Army Seva Vanitha branch Anthem followed by the welcome address by the Chairperson Seva Vanitha Unit, Mrs. Anuja De Silva. Further shown the events carried out by the Seva Vanitha Branch during the year 2019 .
During the meeting, a range of important matters were taken up for review and new committee members have also been elected for the year 2020. Mrs.Kushmi Senarathne appointed as the new Vice president while Mrs. Manoji Silva appointed as the Secretary. Mrs. Manohari Ranasinghe appointed as the new treasurer and Mrs. Subhashini Rajapakshe as the Commando Regiment Seva Vanitha branch Co-ordinator.
Lt Col RCLKK Rathnayake Colonel- Coord 56 Division soon after the AGM session delivered a useful lecture on ‘Conduct of a good family life’ to the families attending the AGM.
