4 COMMANDO REGIMENT NEWLY APPOINTED COMMANDING OFFICER TAKES OVER DUTIES

Lt Col Saman Perera RSP assumed duties as the 10th Commanding Officer of the 4 Commando Regiment in Ganemulla on Saturday (22) in a formal ceremony. The newly-appointed Commanding Officer was warmly welcomed in a Guard Turnout on his arrival at the 4 Commando Regiment.

The new Commanding Officer took over duties signing an official document amid religious observances of all faiths. He subsequently planted a sapling in the premises to mark the assumption of duties. Later on, he addressed the troops in the 4 Commando Regiment and the officers.
