PROPOSED ABLUTION FACILITIES AND PORTABLE FIELD LATRINE SETS FOR GANG SUPPRESSION FORCE

The Contingent Owned Equipment (COE) inspection was successfully conducted under the guidance of the Director of Engineer Services for the provision of Ablution Facilities and Portable Field Latrine Sets for the mission in Haiti, with the participation of representatives from the United Nations on 27 April 2026.

The Corps of Engineer Services is prepared to provide 26 ablution facilities and portable field latrine sets for the first time in the Sri Lanka Army for the Gang Suppression Force. A total of 26 container modules have been transformed into sanitation facilities, featuring comprising four different designs for officers and NCOs. All sanitary units are designed to be compact, space-efficient, durable, easy to transport, simple to maintain hygiene, and rapidly deployable field sanitation systems, suitable for temporary camps and military stations.

This inspection reaffirmed the contingent’s commitment to maintaining high standards of efficiency, reliability, and preparedness in support of international peacekeeping operations.
