FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE FOR 12 SOLDIERS OF THE CORPS OF ENGINEER SERVICES WHOSE HOUSES WERE DESTROYED BY THE DITWAH CYCLONE, CONDUCTED BY THE SEVA VANITHA BRANCH OF CES

Under the guidance of the President Seva Vanitha Branch of Corps of Engineer Services, Mrs. Aruni Chandrasekara, a programme to provide financial assistance to 12 soldiers of CES whose houses were destroyed due to the Ditwah Cyclone was organized on 15 March 2026 at the Regimental Headquarters Panagoda.

This initiative was carried out as a welfare measure to support the affected soldiers and their families during their time of hardship. The programme reflected the commitment of the Seva Vanitha Branch to uplift the well-being of CES personnel and assist them in recovering from the damages caused by the cyclone.

Moreover, the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Engineer Services and Director, Directorate of Management and Maintenance (AHQ) Brigadier YKS Rangika psc ptsc and several senior officers as well as members of CES Seva Vanitha Branch participated for the event. Their collective presence highlighted the unity and strong regimental bonds within the Corps.
