CHARITY WORK INITIATED BY THE ENGINEER SERVICES CENTRAL WORKSHOP IN SUPPORT OF GENERAL HOSPITAL HOMAGAMA

The Engineer Services Central Workshop successfully carried out a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) project at Homagama Base Hospital under the supervision and funding of the Seva Vanitha Branch of the Corps of Engineer Services on the 13^th and 14^th of March 2025.

Since soldiers from the Panagoda Cantonment regularly receive preliminary medical treatment at Homagama Base Hospital, this initiative aimed to enhance and improve the hospital’s facilities. A total of 40 tradesmen participated in repairing 158 unserviceable items, including beds, stretchers, wheelchairs, drug trolleys, tables, and screens.

The President of the Corps of Engineer Services, Mrs. Anupama Rathnayake along with members of the Seva Vanitha Branch and the Hospital Director, Dr. Eranga Rajapaksha graced the inauguration of the project.
