Under the esteemed guidance of the President of CES Seva Vanitha Branch Mrs. Anupama Rathnayake, CES SVB organized a School Accessories Distribution Programme at the Regimental Headquarters, Panagoda on 15 January 2025, This significant event was designed to support the children of Officers and soldiers of the Corps of Engineer Services (CES), particularly those who will be entering Grade 01 in the upcoming academic year 2025.
The distribution was aimed at ensuring that these young learners, who are the sons and daughters of dedicated servicemen and women to start their educational journey with the necessary educational requirement. The school accessories provided included school bag, stationeries, and all required books needed for Grade 1 children. 348 packs were distributed among the children of the personnel of the Corps.
The event was attended by the President of the CES Seva Vanitha Branch, Mrs Anupama Rathnayake, Mrs. Aruni Chandrasekara the Vice President of CES SVB, Mrs. Dilrukshi Dharmapala, The Treasurer of CES SVB alongside other distinguished senior members of the branch. Their presence underscored the importance of the initiative, reflecting the branch's continuous commitment to the welfare of the CES personnel and their families.
