Brigadier KL Munasinghe USP relinquished the appointment of Centre Commandant of Corps of Engineer Services on 15 October 2024. The ceremonial formalities began with a guard turnout followed by a wreath laying at war memorial monument.
The outgoing Centre Commandant was accorded a glamorous parade followed by a group photograph. The itinerary of the day was followed by an officers' address, all ranks tea and a troop address. All ranks of the Regimental Centre,CES offered their gratitude and greetings to the outgoing Center Commandant on his departure.
Later in the evening, a customary farewell dinner was hosted to the outgoing Centre Commandant, Brigadier KL Munasinghe USP with participating of the Director General Media & the Colonel Commandant of Corps of Engineer Services Maj Gen KAN Rasika Kumara ndc psc and other officers of the corp.
