Under the guidance and supervision of Mrs. Uditha Perera, Chairperson of Corps of Engineer Services Seva Vanitha Branch (CES-SVB), a scholarship awarding programme was held on 08 August 2024 at the Regimental Centre of CES.
The event was graced by Mrs. Janaki Liyanage, President of the Army Seva Vanitha Unit (ASVU), as the chief guest.
During the programme 34 outstanding students who excelled in the Advanced Level Examinations of 2022 and 2023 awarded scholarships. Additionally, 118 pregnant mothers received essential accessory packs. Another 20 gift parcels containing school supplies were also distributed among selected children.
Senior members of CES-SVB, along with Senior Officers and Other Ranks, attended the event, refilecting the strong support for this welfare initiative.
