THE COLONEL COMMANDANT OF CORPS OF ENGINEER SERVICES CONDUCT BATTALION VISIT TO 1 ENGINEER SERVICES REGIMENT

Maj Gen IANB Perera RWP USP ndu psc, the Military Secretary of the Sri Lanka Army and the Colonel Commandant of the Corps of Engineer Services, visited the 1 Engineer Services Regiment on Saturday (22). The visiting Colonel Commandant was warmly welcomed by the Commanding Officer, Lieutenant Colonel PAAS Perera CES, and was then accorded a guard turnout showcasing the regiment's discipline.

Next, the Commanding Officer briefed the Colonel Commandant on the unit's tasks, responsibilities, and recent achievements, highlighting its vital role in supporting the military. Major General Buddhika Perera then planted a sapling, symbolizing the regiment's commitment to environmental responsibility and future success.

Thereafter, visited the camp premises, gaining firsthand knowledge of the regiment's capabilities and then he posed for a group photograph with the officers to commemorate the visit, fostering unity and a shared purpose.

After that the Colonel Commandant was accompanied to a tea reception facilitated informal interaction and strengthened the bond between the Colonel Commandant and the personnel of the regiment followed by a troop address, commending their dedication and professionalism.

He concluded his visit by signing the Visitors' Book, a tradition solidifying his visit and the regiment's history. This significant event highlighted the regiment's professionalism, dedication, and vital role in the Sri Lankan military, further strengthening the bonds within the unit.

During the visit, the Colonel Commandant was accompanied by the Centre Commandant of CES, Brigadier KL Munasinghe USP.
